Arizona
Arizona's marijuana laws have evolved like a desert cactus flowering overnight. Initially as prickly as a saguaro about unauthorized use, Arizona had a change of heart in 2020 when they greenlit recreational marijuana, making it as welcome as a pool in Phoenix in July. Now, adults can possess up to an ounce of marijuana and cultivate no more than six plants at home, provided they don’t start acting like Johnny Appleseed with cannabis. Still, lighting up in public is frowned upon as much as suggesting ice hockey is better than desert hiking. So while Arizonans are free to enjoy their stash at home, doing so while out and about is as advisable as a chocolate bar in the midday sun.
