Las Vegas to Introduce Cannabis Lounges

Since Nevada Legalized cannabis for personal use consumption in Las Vegas. With hundreds of thousands of tourist visitors annually the conflict is simple. YOu're not allowed to smoke ANYTHING in a hotel room nor in public places. So if you visit Vegas and don't have a friend nearby with a private residence you're still breaking laws if you either consume inside the hotel or in a public street.
This has led to numerous incidents of people smoking on the strip and the word is that in general police ignore and tolerate it as they don't want to ruin the cities reputation as being tourist friendly but it raises conflict and anxiety. Finally the city has created an ordinance to allow Indoor smoking lounges with annual fees for licensing for this purpose (of course). While it's still somewhat restrictive we understand that this is treading on new ground and we understand that many people aren't comfortable with that familiar odor of cannabis smoke.
Let's hope this model opens things up and provides for districts around the country to open up and allow fully legal consumption for tourists and other travelers.
